Making Memories with Woodpecker

After a successful rebrand, Woodpecker Flooring wanted to raise brand awareness and reach out to new consumers by launching a brand campaign. I came up with the Big Idea of 'Making Memories' which would involve telling the stories of different people through fond memories that are made within the home. The idea was brought to life through a collection of new photography for the brand.

Art direction

We chose to target four different personas, touching each of their wants and habits to generate different emotional responses. I started with storyboarding each shoot; detailing the type of shot needed. I also sourced suitable locations, talent and helped style the shoots. I attended the shoots and assisted with art direction. 

Stills teamed up with the talented Marie Palbom, a photographer based in Cardiff, Wales to shoot the campaign.

Editorial and Digital Design

We used the photography throughout the campaign, I designed a collection of assets including eDMs, press advertisements, and social posts.


We also produced a mini magazine, named 'Nest', this was a great opportunity for the brand to soft-sell woodpecker flooring. We did this by including articles that featured activities you do around the home and with family. These included, baking recipes, interior tips and local nature walks.
